Sex and the Aging Male
There is certainly no shortage of books about sex, but this book is different. This book addresses the particular challenges facing old men who want to enjoy a robust sex life. The challenges can be daunting.
For example, research shows that men in the 75-85 age range are three times as likely to be sexually active as women in this age group. Thus, there are simply not enough elderly women to partner with sexually active older men. Where are these men to find sex partners?
These men often seek transactional relationships. They patronize massage parlors, employ escorts, pay sugar babies, or travel to countries where women will form relationships with older foreign men. Few books provide guidance on navigating this difficult territory. This book fills the gap.
This book also looks at problems like erectile dysfunction, anorgasmia, and premature ejaculation which tend to affect elderly men in larger numbers than their younger counterparts. And, of course, older men who wish to have sex, must work around the many medical problems that plague the elderly.

Writing in Progress
A Scientist’s Perspective
If you suffer from chronic pain, it’s likely that you’d do just about anything to make the pain stop. You’ve been to doctors but haven’t gotten a definitive diagnosis, or perhaps the cause of your pain isn’t easily treated. You’ve been to pain management specialists and, chances are, you haven’t been satisfied with the results. You’ve scoured the Internet for ideas, but maybe tai chi and medicinal mushrooms didn’t help.
This is not a book about pain management. Thousands of books have been published on that subject and there is no reason to add another. This is a book about how pain works. It is intended to be read by the lay person who wants to understand the fundamental mechanisms of pain.
I’ve tried providing simple explanations. Still, there may be places where your brain begins to burn. I urge you to stick with it. Living with chronic pain is frustrating, but I believe that understanding the scientific foundations of pain can help.
